About The Position

The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials throughout New York and surrounding areas while maintaining compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards. This is a home daily position, operating primarily tanker trailers, vacuum equipment, and box trucks in support of customer and facility operations.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A License.
Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
Hazmat Endorsement required.
Tanker Endorsement required.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Acceptable driving record.
Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Ability to read maps and follow written and verbal directions.

Nice To Haves

Experience hauling hazardous materials, waste, oil, gas, or water.
Experience operating tanker equipment, vacuum trailers, or similar specialized equipment preferred.
Experience working in highly regulated transportation environments.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate tanker trailers, vacuum trailers, vacuum trucks, and box trucks to transport materials between Reworld facilities and customer locations.
Transport oil, gas, water, hazardous waste, and non-hazardous waste in accordance with DOT and company regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
Load, unload, and manage transported materials while following all safety procedures.
Ensure proper placarding and documentation for all transported materials.
Maintain accurate transportation paperwork, including manifests, bills of lading, logs, inspection reports, and related compliance documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, customers, and site personnel regarding delivery status and scheduling.
