About The Position

Performs complete pre and post operation inspection of a commercial vehicle in accordance with FCC policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels; safety equipment, gauges, etc. are in proper working order. Safely operates commercial vehicles on assigned routes to include highways, residential communities and alleyways. Operates manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with FCC's safety policies and procedures. Operates equipment joystick multiple times per route. Courteously interacts with all necessary personnel, dispatchers, and others on a daily basis to ensure all services are completed in a timely and professional manner. Continuously monitors the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time. Accurately completes required documents and other reports as required. Maintains adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner. Adheres to and upholds all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Class B commercial driver’s license
  • Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
  • Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulations
  • Clearinghouse profile required
