About The Position

Carter Lumber is seeking CDL Delivery Specialists who are tired of being on the road for extended periods and desire a stable, predictable schedule that allows them to be home every night. As a growing, family-owned company founded in 1932, Carter Lumber offers opportunities for career advancement and growth. The CDL Delivery Specialist will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting orders to local customer jobsites using the company's fleet. This role involves meeting daily delivery schedules, providing excellent customer service, and unloading materials at customer sites using a dump bed or truck-mounted forklift.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Ability to be a team player

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Transporting orders to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using company-owned fleet.
• Ensuring daily delivery schedules are met.
• Providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Unloading materials on site using a dump bed or truck-mounted forklift to place materials where customers need them.
