About The Position

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Driver to join our team. As a CDL Driver you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment to and from job sites. Responsibilities: Safely operate and maneuver a commercial vehicle. Transport construction materials, equipment, and/or machinery to and from job sites. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or safety issues. Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transportation. Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and traffic laws. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members regarding delivery schedules, delays, and any issues encountered during transportation. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and promptly report any mechanical issues or damages. Other duties as assigned Assist with general construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, and operating hand and power tools Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment Gather tools needed for the day Deliver water to the rollers and plate compactors Sweep and rake Use shovels, rakes, brooms, and/or other hand tools Direct traffic, as needed Assist operator, as needed Assist with minor equipment maintenance and cleaning of equipment Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
  • Clean driving record with no recent accidents or violations.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a CDL Driver, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver large commercial vehicles in various weather and road conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions and instructions.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Some travel is required for this position
  • Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screen.
  • Work overtime, nights, and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be able to climb, sit, stand for extended period of times, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Willing to travel/work out of town is required for this position
