CDL Dispatcher
About The Position
- Modify, adjust, and monitor the delivery plan for multiple terminals on a daily basis - Plans and executes delivery schedule to meet network requirements - Uses and adjusts schedules and resources to identify and alter routes for special requests - Assesses driver work assignments to ensure on time deliveries to all business units - Executes workflow to minimize DOT Hours of Service Impact - Coordinates and distributes work assignments to drivers - Assigns tractors to drivers to ensure most efficient use of resources - Responsible for data entry on driver manifests and updates for completed deliveries - Review and process driver activity for proper payroll processing - Analyze and resolve technical issues (Transportation Management System and On-board computers) - Supports communication between warehouses, transportation terminals, and third party vendors to ensure service level expectations are met - Escalates issues when resources do not meet business needs or demands
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated PC skills to include MS Office
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proven customer service experience
- Proven ability to work and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast pace work environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
