About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The driver is responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. The role does not require over-the-road travel and may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials.

Requirements

• Valid CDL, Class A or B.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Pre-employment and random drug screening are required.

Nice To Haves

• Conveyor and/or flatbed truck experience.
• Trailer-mounted forklift truck experience.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of every delivery by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Check the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide the customer with an invoice after each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials on or off trucks or into the warehouse.
