CDL Delivery Truck Driver (675)
About The Position
ABC Supply, America's largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, is seeking a licensed CDL Driver to join our team. This role ensures the safety of each delivery from the facility to the job completion. We are an employee-first company, recognized for our commitment to our employees. Specific duties include treating customers professionally, maintaining a safe work zone, adhering to delivery schedules, documenting deliveries with photos, performing thorough truck load checks, cooperating with material handlers for unloading, completing required paperwork, and collecting payments for COD deliveries. Responsibilities may also include warehouse work such as loading and unloading materials. This position does not require over-the-road travel.
Requirements
- Valid CDL – Class A or B
- Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly
- Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
Nice To Haves
- Flatbed and/or box truck experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Conduct a safe work zone during each job site
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
- Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
- Complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unload them
- Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
- Provide the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries
- Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned
