About The Position

Requirements

• Valid CDL – Class B
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (common cargo is 70-pound bundles of shingles).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of each delivery.
• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone during each job site.
• Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely.
• Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with the camera phone system.
• Complete a thorough load check on the truck before leaving the branch, ensuring all delivery materials are firmly secured and the truck is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set materials and unload them.
• Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork precisely and in a timely manner.
• Provide the customer with an invoice upon completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials onto or off of trucks or into the warehouse as assigned.
• Ensure no over the road travel is required.
