The Delivery Specialist role is crucial for safely delivering products to Kurita America customers, adhering strictly to both company and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations concerning hazardous materials shipping and handling. A key performance indicator for this role is maintaining an on-time shipment rate of 95% or higher.

Requirements

  • A valid Class A or B CDL with Hazardous Material Endorsement and a valid Tanker Endorsement.
  • 2+ years driving experience with Class A license
  • Met or exceeded all requirements of the Kurita America Delivery Fleet Certification Process in at least one Delivery Service type (Bulk, Drum, or Tote).
  • Must be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle, and may not be disqualified from driving a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Presenting and maintaining a valid MVR

Responsibilities

  • Deliver products to customers in a consistent, standardized method.
  • Perform job functions in a way that exceeds customer’s expectations.
  • Understand the hazards in the chemicals handled and perform the job in a way that is safe for oneself, others, and the environment.
  • Work effectively with Logistics Planners to ensure deliveries are timely and routes are efficient.
  • Follow the protocol that all tanks delivered to must be labeled properly and have a serial number that matches the paperwork.
  • Perform a Pre-Trip Truck Inspection before and during daily routes.
  • Report mechanical issues promptly.
  • Ensure unloading equipment and tools are maintained in proper working order.
  • Keep the interior of the truck clean and clutter-free.
  • Ensure the exterior of the truck projects a good image to customers.
  • Ensure the electronic logs onboard monitor is working and in use during the entire trip.
  • Understand and abide by the Kurita America Work Rules and Disciplinary Policy.
  • Take direction from and assist the Fleet Manager.
  • Be a valued team member.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.
