About The Position

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our CDL Delivery Driver position. The CDL Delivery Driver delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones and also delivers freight to customers on a weekly route stop. The Combination CDL Route Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery, set-up and pick up of DME equipment, supplemental oxygen products and supplies to home care patients within a prescribed and assigned geographical area.

Requirements

• Minimum Class C CDL with Hazardous Material endorsement (Hazmat endorsement can be obtained after hire)
• No at fault accidents or DOT moving violations in the past 3 years
• Must be willing to participate in rotating on call schedule
• Familiar with all DOT and FDA regulations as they pertain to oxygen
• Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally weighing over 100 lbs
• Knowledge of hauling hazardous material
• Ability to work safely around special hazards (i.e. mechanical – operating lift gate, and explosives – haul and work around flammable gas and non-flammable gas)
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time approximately 50% of time
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Load and secure freight and cylinders in trailer
• Basic understanding of welding machines and related tools
• Be flexible to do other duties as assigned or as needed

Responsibilities

• Efficiently organize delivery route on a daily basis
• Deliver liquid and compressed gaseous oxygen to specified points of delivery
• Deliver durable medical equipment, as sell as other home care related equipment to specific points of delivery
• Protect patient PHI per HIPAA regulations
• Supervise the up-keep of delivery vehicles, including interior and exterior cleanliness
• Provide patient/client orientation, instructing on the proper use of equipment, when applicable
• Complete delivery and pick-up paperwork promptly and accurately, returning said paperwork to the appropriate facility personnel
• Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with customers
• Assist in cleaning and disinfecting rental equipment
• Load and unload freight and accurately fill out truck manifest
• Accurately fill out gas invoices
• Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
