About The Position

The CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for loading trucks, delivering fresh meat products to customers, and ensuring adherence to DOT regulations and company policies. This role involves interacting with customers, maintaining positive working relationships, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment. The driver will also be responsible for order fulfillment, inventory management, and daily vehicle inspections.

Requirements

• Valid Class A/B CDL license
• Able to be insured by Carlton Farms insurance company
• Follow DOT regulations
• Heavy lifting (Capable of at least 60-100 lbs)
• Long periods of walking, standing and sitting
• Work in a cold environment (-34° to -°40 F) (Freezers/Refrigerators)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as others in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and deliver fresh meat products to customers
• Pull customers orders from a generated pick ticket
• Package and scan inventory of boxed products
• Verify shipments at plant and destination before delivery
• Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account
• Interact with customers daily
• Understand basic shipping, receiving, temperature and returned goods logs
• Organize product and materials
• Familiar with daily vehicle inspections
• Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
• Adhere to work and food safety policies set forth by the company and USDA
• Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the department
