The Driver-Large Store Delivery is a non-touch freight position and will make deliveries to customers along their assigned route. This role requires a high degree of flexibility to cover open needs of the driver team. The driver will transport and unload products to customers, communicate any store-level issues to management, and comply with DOT rules for driving purposes. Maintaining rapport with customers, establishing positive relationships, and providing superior customer service are key aspects of this role. The driver will also provide feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities, and work effectively with all functional team members. Responsibilities include safeguarding Company assets, collecting breakage or out-of-date product, and ensuring accurate accounting for all cases and customer transactions. The driver is responsible for the proper care of product and equipment, and route settlement daily. Building strong relationships with the customer base is essential. When flexing to another Driver role to support the distribution team, the driver will be responsible for merchandising all product inside the outlet to Company standards. Appropriate duties as assigned by management will also be performed.
