CDL w/ Hazmat Route Driver & Warehouse
About The Position
Jones Welding & Industrial Supplies is growing and looking for a dependable, motivated CDL Delivery Driver with Hazmat for their new Fayetteville location. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position with a schedule of 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. As a new and growing location, this role is an all-hands-on-deck position with the opportunity to help build a strong branch from the ground up. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, takes pride in being part of a team, and wants to grow with an established company while helping shape the culture and success of a brand-new location. This position is right for someone who is self-motivated, energetic, and enjoys helping people, driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction, and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis. Computer skills and multitasking are important.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Hazmat endorsement required
- Safe driving record
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable with physical work, including loading, unloading, and handling cylinders and industrial products
- Strong work ethic and team-first attitude
- Willingness to learn different areas of the business
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Computer skills
- Must have a valid CDL w/ Hazmat and clean driving record
- 1-2 years of delivery or warehouse preferred
- Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors
- Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Welding, industrial supply, fabrication, mechanical, or shop experience is a major plus — but it is not required.
Responsibilities
- Safely delivering welding supplies, industrial gases, cylinders, equipment, and other products to customers.
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
- Handling and organizing gas cylinders.
- Warehouse and inventory duties.
- Receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Preparing customer orders.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
- Assisting customers at the inside sales counter when needed.
- Helping with day-to-day branch operations.
- Supporting the team wherever needed as the Fayetteville location continues to grow.
- Working with the inside sales team.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
