CDL Delivery Driver/Service Specialist - Sacramento, CA
About The Position
Vantive is a vital organ therapy company focused on extending lives and expanding possibilities in kidney care and beyond. The Service Specialist (CDL Delivery Driver) is responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to deliver dialysis products to home patients and dialysis centers. This includes delivering solutions, rotating stock, ensuring order accuracy, and handling occasional order pick-ups and returns. The role requires physical stamina for deliveries in diverse locations, including urban and rural areas, and involves handling up to and sometimes exceeding 45 cases per delivery. The Service Specialist collaborates with various supply chain stakeholders, including patients, regional office staff, customer service, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL)
- Air Brake endorsement
- MVR check must meet minimum standards
- Understand and follow all DOT rules and requirements
- Valid Medical Card
- Minimum of 1 year of driving comparable equipment
- Ability to maintain driver HOS log using Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
- Pass Industrial Capabilities Test
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong social skills
- Ability to facilitate and work effectively in diverse, multi-functional teams.

- Inside delivery experience preferred
- Experience with Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an 18 to 24-foot commercial vehicle.
- Deliver dialysis products to home patients and kidney dialysis centers.
- Perform home patient visits, including delivering dialysis solution and rotating stock.
- Ensure order accuracy for deliveries.
- Handle occasional order pick-ups and returns.
- Perform multiple day routes that include some overnight travel.
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as lift gates, ramps, pallet jacks, walkie rider, and Liftkar (stair climbers).
- Follow all safety rules for equipment use and driving outlined by Vantive and DOT.
- Maintain driver HOS log using Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
