About The Position

Premier Cooperative is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Lumber & Propane Delivery Driver. This role is responsible for safely delivering propane and lumber products, supporting yard and retail operations, and providing excellent customer service to our members and customers.

Requirements

Valid CDL (or ability to obtain) with appropriate endorsements
Clean driving record and ability to be insured under company policy
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Customer service mindset with strong communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including seasonal demands
Ability to lift 50–80 lbs regularly
Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and dust
Combination of driving, physical labor, and customer interaction

Responsibilities

Safely deliver propane and lumber materials to customer locations
Operate delivery trucks in compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirements
Load, unload, and properly secure materials for transport
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain equipment
Assist with yard, warehouse, and retail operations as needed
Provide professional, courteous service at all customer stops
Answer basic questions and represent the cooperative positively
Ensure accurate and timely delivery documentation and invoicing
Communicate any delivery issues or customer concerns to management
Follow all federal, state, and company safety regulations
Maintain CDL and any required endorsements/certifications
Ensure proper handling and delivery of propane and lumber products
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment concerns immediately
Assist with inventory, stocking, and facility upkeep
Support other departments during peak seasons as needed
Complete all required reporting and paperwork accurately
