CDL Delivery Driver/Customer Service Representative, Industrial Store
About The Position
Norco, Inc. is currently offering a signing bonus of $1,500.00 for this position. Details of the signing bonus can be discussed during the interview. (Applies to full-time direct new hires only). Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our CDL Route Delivery Driver/Customer Service Representative position. The CDL Route Delivery Driver/Customer Service Representative delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones and is responsible for serving walk-in customers and phone-in customers. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Load and unload freight and accurately fills out truck manifest. Accurately fill out gas invoices. Deliver freight and gas cylinders to customers. Take basic orders from customers when needed. Greet customers in a professional and enthusiastic way. Answer telephone calls promptly. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price and use. Sell welding and safety products and services to customers. Process customer orders and accurately input customer order into the computer. Research products needed for customer special applications. Follow up on customer orders not processed correctly and remedy situation. Driving 50% - Customer Service Representative 50%. Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum Class B CDL with hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain
- No at fault accidents or DOT violations resulting in suspension within the last 3 years
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to accurately enter data into computer
- Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally weighing over 100 lbs
- Knowledge of hauling hazardous material
- Ability to work safely around special hazards (i.e. mechanical – operating lift gate, and explosives – haul and work around flammable gas and non-flammable gas)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (writing invoices, picking up small cylinders, rolling large cylinders, pushing cylinder cart, hand trucks, steering trucks, etc.)
