About The Position

Vanguard Truck Centers is seeking a Shop Porter with a valid CDL, minimum Class B, to support its Phoenix dealership. The role involves moving trucks around the shop and maintaining clean, organized, and safe shop and surrounding areas. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Safety shoes are required on the first day and must be worn in designated shop and service areas. Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid CDL, minimum Class B.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Wear approved safety footwear at all times while working in designated shop and service areas; safety shoes are required on the first day of employment.
Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration.

Responsibilities

Move trucks around the shop.
Sweep, shovel, or vacuum loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and remove the containers from work areas.
Check and empty garbage cans.
Clean and organize center shop aisles.
Clean and declutter work benches.
Remove and replace filters.
Empty scrap iron containers.
Inspect airline hoses for leaks.
Clean the used oil dump area.
Inspect and clean the washer bay.
Clean and organize the tool room.
Pick up debris and garbage along the fence line and in landscaping areas.
Inspect the eyewash station.
Inspect and repair painted safety lines.
