About The Position

Tropic Supply, Inc. is seeking a full-time CDL Class B Delivery Driver for their Sunrise, FL location. This role involves operating Tropic Supply trucks and vans on established local routes, delivering HVAC and refrigeration supplies efficiently and professionally. Drivers are responsible for pre-trip inspections, accurate documentation, safe loading and unloading of cargo, and representing the company professionally at customer job sites. A Hazmat endorsement is required as drivers will transport hazardous materials and must adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations. On days when driving volume is lighter or routes are complete, drivers will contribute in the warehouse by pulling and filling orders, receiving and stocking inventory, operating warehouse equipment, and supporting the team. Tropic Supply is Florida's largest independent, family-owned HVAC and refrigeration distributor with over 50 years of experience and 23 locations.

Requirements

• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL Class B license with Hazmat endorsement.
• Valid medical certificate and active Clearinghouse registration.
• Minimum one year of verifiable CDL driving experience within the last three years, or two years within the last five years.
• Clean and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety compliance, documentation, and customer interaction.
• Comfort contributing in a warehouse and distribution environment on non-driving days.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds consistently and sustain physical activity throughout a shift.
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of delivery and documentation accuracy.
• Professional driver with a strong sense of DOT compliance and company representation.
• Ability to take ownership of routes without constant supervision.
• Dependable and physically capable.
• Ready for a stable long-term role.

Nice To Haves

• Sit-down forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Tropic Supply trucks and vans on established local routes, delivering HVAC and refrigeration supplies efficiently and professionally.
• Perform thorough pre-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and receipt handling.
• Load and unload cargo safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Inspect all items for damage before and after transport.
• Represent Tropic Supply at every delivery point, ensuring a professional appearance and conduct on customer job sites.
• Transport hazardous materials and follow all applicable DOT and company safety regulations.
• Pull and fill orders in the warehouse.
• Receive and stock inventory.
• Operate warehouse equipment.
• Support the team on the warehouse floor when not driving.
