About The Position

CDL Class B Delivery Driver, Local Routes, Home Every Night. This is a Full-Time position with Tropic Supply, Inc. in Tampa, FL, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves spending the majority of time driving established local routes to deliver HVAC and refrigeration supplies to contractors and technicians. You will know your customers and routes, and be home every night. Consistency, reliability, and professionalism are key. On days with lighter volume or a completed route, you will contribute in the warehouse with the same professionalism and work ethic. Requirements

Must be 25 years of age or older.
Valid CDL Class B license with Hazmat endorsement.
Valid DOT medical certificate and active FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, with consent to a full pre-employment query.
Minimum one year of verifiable CDL driving experience within the last three years, or two years within the last five years.
Motor vehicle record subject to review and approval per Tropic Supply driving standards.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety compliance, documentation, and customer interaction.
Hands-on experience operating a sit-down forklift, required.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs consistently and sustain physical activity throughout a full shift.
Comfort contributing in a warehouse and distribution environment on non-driving days.
Strong attention to detail with a track record of delivery and documentation accuracy.
Candidates must be able to operate a commercial vehicle for extended periods throughout a shift.
Candidates must be able to enter and exit the cab and cargo areas of trucks, including stepping up and down repeatedly.
Candidates must be able to lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 75 lbs unassisted.
Candidates must be able to load and unload cargo, secure freight, and operate lift gates where applicable.
Candidates must be able to push and pull loaded hand trucks, pallet jacks, and carts on various surfaces.
Candidates must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and kneel as required by loading, unloading, and stocking tasks.
Candidates must be able to work in outdoor and warehouse environments subject to Florida heat and ambient noise.
Candidates must be able to stand and remain physically active during warehouse shifts.
Candidates must wear required personal protective equipment, including any applicable safety gear at delivery sites.

Responsibilities

Operate Tropic Supply vehicles on established local routes, delivering HVAC and refrigeration supplies efficiently and professionally.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and receipt handling.
Load and unload cargo safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Inspect all items for damage before and after transport.
Take ownership of your route, your vehicle, and the impression you leave at every stop.
Transport hazardous materials and follow all applicable DOT and company safety regulations.
Pull and fill orders in the warehouse.
Receive and stock inventory in the warehouse.
Operate warehouse equipment.
Support the team on the floor in the warehouse.
