About The Position

MedTrans is Medline’s private fleet of professional drivers, delivering medical products to commercial and residential customers. The Driver operates a Class A vehicle to transport products from a Medline facility to local customers and helps build positive customer relationships through timely, accurate, and safe deliveries. The position combines yard jockey duties with route driving. Drivers are home daily on local routes and use newer, updated trucks and equipment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Class A CDL and license to operate the assigned vehicle.
• Ability to meet federal and state requirements for operating commercial motor vehicles.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure product from the Medline facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route, following safety regulations, wearing required safety equipment, and performing safety checks.
• Unload and deliver product at customer facilities in a timely manner.
• Provide in-person customer support, address questions and needs, and provide appropriate delivery documentation.
• Communicate with the dispatching team about route or schedule adjustments needed to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
• Inspect the vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel for continued use.
