About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to transport and deliver building materials to retail stores and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This is a hands-on delivery driving position that requires a wide range of skills, from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. Deliveries will generally be round trip, same-day routes, with a possible overnight run once or twice a month. The driver will be expected to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the vehicle and equipment, and actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines. The role also involves loading and unloading the truck using a Piggyback Moffett and verifying entire content loads prior to leaving the manufacturing facility or job site, while following all safety procedures for transporting goods. Occasional weekend work may be required, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
  • 1 year of flatbed experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Willing to strap flatbed loads
  • Operate trailer mounted forklift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-drop delivery experience a plus

  • Occasional Weekend work.
