About The Position

Move loads around the truck yard and periodically off-site, a few blocks from the facility. Ability to back up trailers to dock doors, often with other trailers on either side of the dock. Verify loads for accuracy, i.e., proper paperwork, DOT trailer seal, etc. Use of other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, manual jacks, and forklifts. Occasionally assist the shipping/warehouse department with manually loading and unloading trucks with products up to 35 lbs. Basic vehicle maintenance, clean out the truck before or after moving. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL
  • Good customer service & teamwork skills
  • Good physical condition; must be able to get in and out of trucks several times per day
  • Able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather
  • Good backing skills
  • Recent verifiable driving experience or related
  • Current DOT medical card
  • No DUI/DWI, Careless/Reckless driving citations, or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 years
  • No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years
  • MVR required for interview (current, dated within 30 days of application)
  • Able to pass a complete DOT physical, drug screen, criminal background check, and road test before employment
  • Able to lift 35 pounds
  • Work jobs that have repetitive motion
  • Follow safe work practices and rules
  • Able to prove they have the right to work in the United States
  • Successfully pass a physician’s examination, drug screen, and background check
  • Be willing to have a baseline audiometric test

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduates or GEDs
  • Sufficient work experience to be successful on the job
