About The Position

GFI Atlanta is seeking a full-time CDL Class A Regional Driver with a minimum of one year of experience. This position offers competitive pay, a guaranteed minimum salary, monthly safety bonuses, and a consistent schedule with home time 2-3 days in a row each week. The role involves performing pre-trip inspections, driving to deliver customer orders, maintaining load temperatures, unloading products, verifying deliveries, collecting payments, and handling discrepancies. GFI is a drug-free employer and requires a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

Minimum one year of CDL Class A driving experience required
Minimum age: 21 years old.
Valid CDL License.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs.
Ability to step up 17 inches and climb up to three rungs of a ladder.
You voluntarily consent to a pre-employment drug screen, and a background check will be required for the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Performing all pre-trip responsibilities, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items, and checking customer invoices of products that have been loaded, and performing the "pre-trip safety check" inspection of truck and trailer according to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
Driving to and delivering customer orders following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations, and GFI procedures and protocols
Maintaining load temperatures according to load specifications
Unloading products from the trailer with a hand truck or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas.
Verifying delivery of items with customers and obtaining proper signatures; collecting money (cash or checks) when required; contacting management for authorization when discrepancies on the invoice and communicating all errors/returns.
