CDL Class A or B - Local Driver
About The Position
Gulfeagle is seeking a CDL Class A or B driver to join their team. This is a local driving position with the opportunity to be home every night. Drivers will be responsible for safely driving to job sites, observing traffic laws, and assisting with loading and securing materials. They will also help unload materials using various equipment and by hand. Gulfeagle drivers represent the company on job sites and are expected to lead and instruct others. Requirements
- Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with clear MVR and DOT record.
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must have current and valid Medical Certification Card.
- Must have held a CDL driving position the previous year with consecutive driving experience.
- Must have a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb.
- Ability and willingness to climb on a rooftop and ensure proper stacking (location based).
- Must have the ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to climb a 40’ ladder (location based).
- Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a company required drug screening; all employees are subject to random drug testing per company policy.
Nice To Haves
- Previous material handling experience is a plus.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Certified to operate a crane is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive to the job site using the most efficient route.
- Observe and obey all traffic laws and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist in loading and/or securing materials on trucks daily.
- Help unload materials by using a crane, conveyor, piggybacks, and/or by hand.
- Lead, instruct, and supervise others on the job site.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections.
- Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles.
