About The Position

Requirements

• Must reside in the state you are applying for or have a residence secured for relocation
• Valid CDL Class A license with a minimum of 24 months of verified tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Safe driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
• Basic computer skills for tracking and scheduling.

Nice To Haves

• Leadership experience.
• Experience mentoring or training instructors and students.
• Driver Training Instructor certification (if required by the state, we assist with certification).
• Knowledge of FMCSA and CDL training standards.
• Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support instructors to ensure effective training.
• Oversee student training, including pre-trip, yard, and road instruction.
• Promote safety and professionalism in all aspects of training.
• Monitor student progress and assist instructors with CDL exam preparation.
• Track training effectiveness and provide feedback.
• Maintain proper documentation, including evaluations and records.
• Work collaboratively with instructors to ensure consistent training standards.
