About The Position

The Schebler Company is seeking a CDL Class A Driver who will be responsible for moving Schebler products and materials to customers and job sites. This role is home every night with no overnight runs, and most days run Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Some runs may start as early as 3:00 am to ensure on-time delivery to regional stops. As an employee-owned company, drivers will accumulate shares over time through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, building something they own a piece of. The company culture emphasizes ownership, accountability, and employee voice. Schebler designs and produces complex fabrications in stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys, serving customers with product design, engineering, on-time delivery, and support.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
High school diploma or GED
Current DOT medical card, or the ability to obtain one
Acceptable motor vehicle record
Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing, including a Clearinghouse query
21 or older, required for interstate driving
At least one year of truck driving experience preferred

Responsibilities

Operate company trucks for delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials
Stage items for delivery according to priority and job
Load and unload your truck
Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup
Inspect loads and secure cargo using straps, blocks, chain, binders, or covers
Complete vehicle inspections and confirm mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in working order
Maintain hours of service and vehicle maintenance logs per DOT requirements
Operate material handling equipment
Keep the equipment entrusted to you in good condition
