About The Position

The Distribution Driver Class A delivers products to clients, including bars, restaurants, and hotels, and is responsible for inspecting, preparing, loading, unloading, operating, and cleaning the vehicle. The role also involves reviewing standing orders, developing sales, processing payments, and maintaining records. Drivers must follow safety and traffic requirements, keep the vehicle, product, and equipment in good working order, and complete required paperwork. Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak-season schedules may be required.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
Department of Transportation (DOT) certification.
A Commercial Driver's License is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds.
Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations.

Responsibilities

Deliver products statewide to bars, restaurants, hotels, and other clients.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Receive payment for goods delivered.
Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery.
Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously.
Check in money and returned goods daily with the Driver Check-in & Accounting Cashier.
Complete required daily paperwork, including the Department of Transportation logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
Follow company uniform standards.
Adhere to safety regulations and perform duties safely.
Plan trip logistics and obtain documents needed to transport goods.
Load and unload cargo and ensure safety equipment is used.
Secure cargo in compliance with safety requirements.
Report incidents to the dispatcher.
Follow traffic laws.
Keep the vehicle, product, and equipment tidy and in good working order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
