Driving time is 20-30%, with the remainder spent performing physical labor activities using hand tools, shovels, etc., outdoors with exposure to the elements. The role requires the ability to coordinate and handle mechanical mechanisms to deliver emulsion, and to pick up and transport goods, inventory, hazardous materials, and other cargo to intended destinations. Responsibilities include maintaining driving and delivery logs, confirming load contents match manifest documents, and tracking/reporting working hours. The role also involves loading/unloading and transporting materials, including overhead bin loading requiring fall protection. A key duty is operating mobile manufacturing units (MMUs) onsite at customer locations to create bulk products for blasting, mastering the operation of Austin Powder bulk equipment for consistent quality. Daily tasks include completing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs, and complying with all regulatory requirements for the delivery of explosives. The role requires precise control of chemicals into the product when operating mobile manufacturing equipment and a hands-on approach to the daily operation and maintenance of the Austin Powder location and customer sites. Other duties as assigned.
