CDL Bus Driver
About The Position
Terrestris Global Solutions is seeking On-Call CDL Drivers to support ongoing ground operations and asset relocation efforts. This is an on-call/as-needed opportunity. Requirements
- A valid Class A, Class B, Class C CDL license.
- A clean driving record.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Passenger endorsement(s) (P and / or S Endorsement).
- A minimum of (2) years of commercial driving experience.
- Familiarity with DOT Hours of Service and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Flexibility to work on-call, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating a school bus or like-sized commercial vehicle.
- Experience driving long distances / over-the-road (OTR).
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement.
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures and regulations associated with a typical U.S. military installation.
- Prior military experience.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus in compliance with all DOT, state, and company regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.
- Transport personnel to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules or delays.
- Follow all company policies and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Report mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
