About The Position

Crown Distributors is Kansas's family-owned beverage distributor, hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Driver for our Topeka facility. This is a local route with no overnights, meaning you'll be home every afternoon. We are seeking safe, reliable drivers who take pride in their route and represent the company well to every customer. The position offers a full-time, 4 or 5-day work week depending on route assignment, with a fixed early-morning start (typically 5:00 to 6:00 a.m.). Drivers are home daily with evenings off. For individuals who do not yet have a CDL, Crown Distributors offers a paid in-house CDL training program; interested candidates should apply for the Delivery Trainee role instead.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age (Federal requirement for interstate commercial driving).
  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain a current DOT medical card.
  • Must be able to report to work reliably and maintain regular attendance.
  • Ability to lift 30-pound cases on a regular basis and handle kegs weighing up to 160 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer or straight truck on an assigned local route, safely delivering beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages from the warehouse to retail customers on schedule.
  • Deliver on the scheduled window with the right product in the right quantity.
  • Rotate the retailer's stock, stock any out-of-stocks at the account, and partner with the sales rep on account needs.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Treat the tractor, trailer, wheeler, and any assigned electric pallet jack with care.
  • Keep trucks and trailer clean inside and out.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and execute routes efficiently to ensure team resources and support are available for everyone.
