Local CDL B Truck Driver - M-F 5am-1:30pm
About The Position
Wurth Baer Supply Company is seeking a reliable and responsible Driver - CDL Class B to support our Leetsdale, PA facility and product delivery operations. The company is a leading specialty wholesale distributor to the woodworking industry, offering an extensive inventory of decorative and functional hardware, board & panel products, woodworking machinery, surfacing materials, tools and shop supplies. A $2000 Performance Bonus is offered to drivers in good standing, with $1,000 after 90 days and another $1,000 after 180 days. Safety, attendance, attitude, and consistent on-time arrivals are considered for good standing.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B
- Must be proficient driving 10-speed manual transmissions
- Must be certified to use AIR BRAKES
- A clean driving record for the past three years in all states where licensed
- Valid DOT Medical Certificate
- Pass a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
- Must be comfortable performing hand unloads, lifting 75lbs unassisted, and helping customers receive their goods as needed.
- Good problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehousing experience preferred
- Proficient using a pallet jack
Responsibilities
- Help load the company truck and transport Würth Baer Supply products to customers.
- Use an app via a company-provided cell phone to plan your route.
- Conduct yourself in a positive and friendly manner and provide quality service with each delivery.
- Assist with general warehouse operations (receiving, picking, etc.) when needed.
- Perform hand unloads, assisting customers receiving their goods weighing up to 70lbs, including large sheets of plywood.
