CDL B Route Delivery Driver
About The Position
Come join the team that grows the freshest flowers! This is a full-time position with a 3-day schedule availability, working Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday with 13-14 hour routes. The start time is between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM. The pay is $27-$31 per hour, dependent on experience. Len Busch Roses is the leading Wholesale Florist and Grower of cut flowers and plants in the upper-Midwest, with a rich history as a privately held, values-based, family-oriented company with 200 employees. Our team grows and imports cut flowers and plants and distributes them to our customers, independent retail florists and mass-market merchants, within a five-state area.
Requirements
- CDL B license
- 1 year of driving experience
- Trucking freight handling: Load/unload by hand
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Work safely while being aware of potential hazards
- Pay close attention to details
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Deliver flowers and plants in a safe, timely, and economical manner and provide customer-driven service.
- Complete all tasks based on written standard work and meet the cycle times associated with each step of the standard work.
- Deliver product on-time and in the condition it was when it left LBR.
- Make sure to follow delivery instructions and that product is placed where the customer requests and bring back any returned product.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections.
- Make pick-ups for internal customers.
- Recommend process changes to improve productivity, safety and quality.
- Work with little or no supervision.
- Work safely while being aware of potential hazards.
- Pay close attention to details.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Perform up to 25 lift-gate deliveries per shift.
