About The Position

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver for our Commerce, GA Location. This role involves safely delivering products to job sites, physically unloading materials, receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory. The company is a wholesale building material distributor serving 15 states with over 65 locations, and is a family-owned and operated business with nearly 50 years of experience.

Requirements

• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license
• 1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience required or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience
• Current DOT medical card
• Clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Heavy Lifting experience
• Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Flatbed with Moffett experience desired
• Moffett and Flatbed operating experience desired

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to the job site
• Physically unload material per the customer's request
• Receive materials in the warehouse
• Load trucks
• Process inventory
• Continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day, with some lifting over 100 lbs. required
• Unload shingles on one and two-story homes
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day's deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations
• Unload trucks and receive merchandise at the warehouse
• Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area
