About The Position
The CDL B Driver is responsible for the delivery of insulation products, requiring timely unloading and loading of product to scheduled job sites. Some warehouse work is also required as needed. This is a Monday through Friday position with no weekend work.
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Class B) license in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations.
- Two years of verifiable experience within the last 5 years, driving a tractor/trailer or straight truck.
- Ability to meet all DOT regulations in order to receive and maintain a med card.
- Maintaining a valid license and an acceptable driving record as per the insurance provider's requirements for continued employment.
Responsibilities
- Driving to deliver material and the loading and unloading of material within a pre-determined driving schedule.
- Staging products onto the truck for delivery.
- Maintaining the truck, performing daily pre-trip inspections, and providing minor maintenance on the truck if needed.
- Reporting mechanical or maintenance issues to the Plant Manager.
- Processing paperwork including tickets, bills of lading, customer signed receipts, and COD handling when specified.
- Communicating any customer service issues addressed at the job site to the Plant Manager.
- Potentially working in Warehouse positions between scheduled deliveries.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
