About The Position

As a CDL Class B Truck Driver, you will operate a waste-hauling truck to provide residential trash and recycling pickup. The work involves operating around 150 miles from home, lifting and carrying residential waste, and depositing it into a compactor. Drivers are expected to remain attentive to safety, report defects, accidents, or violations, inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues, and report preventative maintenance needs to management. The role is suited to someone who enjoys being on the road rather than working in an office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with drivers home daily. Shifts are 10–12 hours, and additional hours may be needed. Ecowaste Solutions offers a competitive base salary, the opportunity to earn incentive pay, and an employee benefits package. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
CDL Class A or B.
No more than one moving violation on the MVR within the last three years.

Nice To Haves

Class B driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate the truck around 150 miles from home.
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Comply with truck-driving rules and regulations, including rules concerning size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods, as well as company policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
Report all defects, accidents, or violations.
Carry out other duties as needed or instructed.
Lift and carry residential waste and deposit it into a compactor.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report preventative maintenance needs to the management team.
