About The Position

As a CDL Class B Truck Driver, you will operate a waste hauling truck for residential trash and recycling pick up, typically within 150 miles of your home. Your daily tasks involve lifting and carrying residential waste and depositing it into a compactor. You are expected to be attentive to safety, report any defects, accidents, or violations, and inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues, reporting preventative maintenance needs to the management team. The role offers the opportunity to be on the road rather than in an office environment. As part of the application process, candidates must complete the Culture Index Survey.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class B driving experience
• No more than one moving violation on your MVR within the last 3 years
• CDL Class A/B

Responsibilities

• Safely operate around 150 miles of home
• Complete daily pre and post trip inspections
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Report any and all defects, accidents, or violations
• Carry out other duties as needed or instructed
