About The Position

JA Frate is a well-established transportation and logistics company serving the Chicagoland area through LTL, FTL, warehousing, distribution, and freight brokerage services. We are looking for a dependable CDL Class B Driver who takes pride in safe driving, professional customer service, and being part of a team that keeps local freight moving. Candidates will train at our Crystal Lake home base terminal for the first week. Paid mileage is provided.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B license required.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong safety mindset and professional communication skills.
• Must meet company driving standards and pass required screenings, including drug screen, DOT physical, Functional Employment Physical, and random drug testing program.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 2 years of CDL B driving experience preferred.
• Local pickup and delivery experience preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred; may be required within 3 months of hire based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class B commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Transport local freight and complete pickups and deliveries in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Load, unload, organize, and secure freight as needed using safe material-handling practices.
• Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.
