About The Position

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is hiring a full-time CDL HazMat Driver at its Flippin, Arkansas location. The driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering gas and liquid cylinders and other hard-goods supplies to customers and AWG branches. Drivers are expected to prioritize safety and provide outstanding customer service while meeting the company’s high standards. The position offers home nights, no sleeper vehicles, and limited weekend work.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements; the HazMat endorsement is not required to apply but must be obtained before employment.
• Clean commercial driving record with a minimum of 3+ years.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders, frequently lift 50–75 pounds, and maneuver cylinders weighing over 100 pounds by rolling them or using a cart.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Successful completion of a company-administered road test.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles safely and courteously at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Load, unload, move, and store empty and full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and complete safety checklists.
• Prepare and complete paperwork accurately, including shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Attend driver safety meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
