About The Position

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products seeking a CDL B Boom Truck Driver. The driver performs touch-freight tasks, including lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 pounds. The role includes inspecting the truck, loading materials, verifying load accuracy, preparing job parameters, and checking sites for safe loading and unloading. The driver communicates regularly with dispatch to support timely deliveries, reports potential site hazards to branch management, and follows DOT and company safety procedures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and offers an hourly pay range of $29.00 to $34.00. Benefits for union-represented roles are determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid Class B CDL license in good standing.
At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
Experience operating heavy equipment.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

NCCCO & Crane Institute Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
