About The Position
This is a local CDL-A intermodal fleet position where drivers will handle container transport across the regional metro area. The role emphasizes daily home time, with drivers sleeping in their own beds after every shift. It involves 100% no-touch freight, with a mix of live loads/unloads, preloads, and drop-and-hook operations. Drivers will operate within a 150-mile radius of the yard, performing common loops and regional hub drops, including runs into other yards. The equipment consists of slip-seat operation driving clean daycabs, with containers mounted directly onto bare chassis at the ramp. Occasional wait times of 30 to 60 minutes for "flips" at the ramp are expected.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card
- Must reside within 25 miles of the dispatch yard
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- Solid driving record
- Clean work history
- Mandatory drug screening
