CDL A Truck Driver
About The Position
American Trucking Group is hiring CDL A Truck Drivers for Regional, Super Regional, and OTR routes. Drivers operate modern, well-maintained Kenworth T680 automatic trucks and receive weekly pay based on route type and miles. Regional drivers earn $1,200 per week while averaging 2,500–2,600 miles; Super Regional drivers earn $1,300–$1,400 per week while averaging 2,600–2,800 miles; and OTR drivers earn $1,500 per week while averaging 3,000 miles. Schedules vary by route: Regional drivers are out for 7–9 days and receive one day at home for every seven days out; Super Regional drivers are out for 14 days and home for two; and OTR drivers are out for three weeks and home for three days. Drivers choose where to take their home time. Trucks include Smart Idle, a bunk heater, a double bunk, and a 1500-watt inverter. Equipment is serviced every six months. Most freight is 85–90% drop and hook. For loads requiring unloading, an electric floor jack is provided and drivers are paid for that work. The company has 30 terminals nationwide, 15 of which have gyms, truck washes, and laundry facilities. New hires attend a three-day orientation in Joplin, Missouri; Dallas, Texas; or Atlanta, Georgia. Travel is covered through a rental car or Greyhound, with Uber to the hotel if needed.

Responsibilities

- Transport freight, with most loads handled through drop-and-hook operations.
- Unload loads when required using a provided electric floor jack.
- Attend a three-day orientation at one of the listed locations.
