About The Position

American Driver offers a dedicated, paid road training program developed specifically for entry-level Class A drivers. This program gets you directly behind the wheel with a guaranteed paycheck from day one, while ensuring you get home to your family every single week. For the initial 4 to 6 weeks, you will share the cab with a seasoned driver on regional freight runs. Your mentor will guide you through daily operations and sign off on your transition to solo driving as soon as you demonstrate total readiness.

Requirements

An active, valid Class A CDL.
Minimum age requirement of 21 years or older.
Documented completion of 120+ hours from an approved, accredited CDL training facility.
A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Ability to pass a standard DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

Practical operation of Class A tractor-trailers in real-world traffic.
Mastering ELD software and keeping up with Hours-of-Service (HOS) rules.
Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIRs).
Navigating company protocols and communicating effectively with dispatch.

Months 1 to 3 (Solo): Earn $0.56 per mile with a secure safety net of at least $1,000 weekly guaranteed.
Beyond 3 Months: Your rate increases to a scale of $0.56–$0.64 per mile (bringing home an average of $1,200 to $1,700 each week).
