CDL A Truck Driver
About The Position
American Trucking Group is hiring CDL A Truck Drivers for Regional, Super Regional, and OTR routes. Drivers can choose among route options offering consistent freight, weekly pay, and scheduled home time. Regional drivers are out 7–9 days and receive 1 day at home for every 7 days out; Super Regional drivers are out 14 days and home for 2 days; OTR drivers are out 3 weeks and home for 3 days. Drivers choose where to take their home time. Drivers operate Kenworth T680 automatic trucks equipped with Smart Idle, a bunk heater, double bunk, and a 1500-watt inverter. Trucks are serviced every 6 months. Most freight is 85–90% drop and hook. For loads requiring unloading, an electric floor jack is provided and drivers are paid for the work. The company has 30 terminals nationwide, 15 of which have gyms, truck washes, and laundry facilities. Orientation is 3 days at a location in Joplin, Missouri; Dallas, Texas; or Atlanta, Georgia. Travel is covered with a rental car or Greyhound, and Uber to the hotel if needed. Benefits include United Healthcare after 60 days and a Fidelity 401(k) with company match after 90 days. Additional pay may include detention, layover, holiday, and optional Hazmat pay.
Responsibilities
- Drive Regional, Super Regional, or OTR routes.
- Transport freight, with most loads handled through drop-and-hook; unload loads when required using the provided electric floor jack.
- Follow the assigned route schedule and take home time at a location of the driver's choice.
