About The Position

Detail-oriented, safety conscious CDL-A Truck Driver to support our logistics operations. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience operating a commercial truck with a CDL-A License
  • CDL-A driving School Certification
  • Excellent organizational and computer abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of highway safety regulations and DOT compliance standards
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Must hold a valid CDL-A License and a current medical examiner’s certificate of health
  • Clean Driving Recorded with no major violations in the past 7 years
  • Ability to work in various environments, including warehouses and distribution centers
  • Responsible for complying with all Local, State, and Federal regulations regarding all aspects of transportation
  • Responsible for maintaining a valid and current driving record acceptable to our company and our insurance company
  • Responsible for maintaining current and accurate service records logging hours according to DOT requirements and company policy as well as preventing overweight violations
  • Ability to lift, load and secure cargo
  • Comfortable with overnight stays on the road, as necessary
  • Punctual and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road
  • Attending quarterly driver safety meetings
  • Familiarity with GPS Systems, route planning and load securement

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and others in the organization and able to thrive in the ever-changing work environment
  • Frequently lifting, carrying, positioning and off-loading products/boxes weighing up to 60 pounds when unloading trailers
  • Complying with all Local, State, and Federal regulations regarding all aspects of transportation
  • Maintain a current Class A CDL License and a current medical examiner’s certificate of health
  • Maintaining a valid and current driving record acceptable to our insurance company
  • Safely and appropriate handling of all assigned equipment and for maintaining the equipment and its cleanliness
  • Maintaining current and accurate service records logging hours according to DOT requirements and company policy as well as preventing overweight violations
  • Responsible for the timely servicing and inspections of assigned equipment and vehicles
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintain professional communication with clients and dispatch
  • Accurate and timely handling of all necessary paperwork concerning the customer’s orders, deliveries and returns
  • Responsible for reading, checking accuracy and accurately pulling product on pick tickets while unloading as well as obtaining customer signatures
  • Responsible for inspecting and reporting product returns and processing returned product within established guidelines
  • Complying with all safety rules and government regulations
  • Responsible for communicating with the Logistics Manager each Friday afternoon to receive dispatch for the following week
  • Responsible for performing backhauls and additional routes if deemed necessary
  • Responsible for various other tasks and duties as the needs of the business require
  • Reporting any accidents, injuries or vehicle issues promptly to management
  • Routes are assigned to drivers by region, one week you will be in one region the following week in a different region. You will be assigned these routes. This is to ensure you work with the same customers and to maintain a working relationship with that customer. This is key to A-techs core value.
  • Your routes are given to you Thursday evening, Friday your truck will be loaded to start your route on Monday. Typical route is around 1800 miles a week some longer and some weeks shorter but average route is 1800 +.
  • You are paid by the hub mile and plus stop pay for each completed stop on your route sheet.
  • Drivers are typically back by Thursday evening. You will sleep in hotels not in a truck. We pay the expenses, no out of pocket cost.
  • We issue you all the tools and equipment to do your job safely and with ease.
  • We use late model day cab tractors, this helps us get into some challenging delivery areas.
  • Tractors are leased and maintained by the leasing company. Trailers are maintained by A-tech. Trucks and trailers are washed at Blue Beacon once a month.
