About The Position

The Class A CDL Truck Driver will support SMS group customer business. SMS group is the leading partner in the world of metals. We are an original equipment supplier offering comprehensive maintenance and spare part services for metals production, continuous casting and rolling (flat and long products), tubes, welded pipes, forging, non-ferrous technology, and heat treatment plants - all from a single source.

Requirements

• A valid Class A CDL driver's license and an excellent driving record
• A H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• A safety minded worker who is drug free, dependable, and able to maintain an excellent attendance record

Responsibilities

• Driving 50 ft, 6-8 axel flatbed semi-trailers
• Loading/unloading using an overhead crane, including chaining and tarping the load
• Maintaining the vehicle and records
• Working weekends and overtime
• Cross-training on other jobs when not trucking
