CDL A Truck Driver
About The Position
This Heartland fleet through CK Transportation runs Midwest regional lanes with steady miles, familiar routes, and planned time off that stays predictable. The Fleet Drivers operate 2016 or newer Freightliner, International, and Kenworth tractors with 10-speed transmissions, inverters, and idle management systems. Trucks are assigned to keep the week running smoothly, and drivers with safe parking may qualify for take-home equipment. This fleet runs organized regional freight with dispatch planning routes to keep transitions efficient and protect driving hours. Lanes stay consistent, so drivers are not learning new territory every week, and the schedule stays stable instead of changing constantly.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
- Must have 6 months recent experience or 1 year within the past 3 years.
- Experience must be on equipment 48 feet or longer.
Nice To Haves
- Drivers with safe parking may qualify for take-home equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate 2016 or newer Freightliner, International, and Kenworth tractors with 10-speed transmissions, inverters, and idle management systems.
- Drive Midwest regional lanes with steady miles and familiar routes.
- Handle mostly drop-and-hook freight with limited live load.
- Adhere to a predictable home time schedule, including weekly resets and three weekends home per month.
- Participate in safety incentive programs.
