About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lafayette, IN. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Ryder Drivers on this account earn a guaranteed $1415 per week with the opportunity for more. Drivers are paid weekly. A shutdown bonus of $2000 is paid in two installments in the first year, and a sign-on bonus of $1000 is paid at 30 days and another $1000 at 90 days. A safety bonus of up to $250 per quarter may be applicable. The schedule is Monday – Friday or Tuesday - Saturday, with start times open to AM or PM due to the bid system. This is a local route with home daily, delivering SOLO within a 300-mile radius. The tractor type is a Day Cab, and the trailer type is a 53' Dry Van. Ryder will provide training on all necessary equipment. The freight is No Touch Auto Parts, and strong backing skills are REQUIRED. Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer, with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Ryder provides all the benefits you expect without the wait, including medical, dental, and vision after 30 days. Earn PTO starting Day 1, up to 80 hours accrued in the first year. Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance are provided. Drivers are considered the Captain, with safety decisions protected. A 401(k) rollover is available immediately with a company match at 1 year. Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Strong backing skills REQUIRED
