CDL-A Truck Driver – Paid Training Program
About The Position
American Driver offers a structured, paid training program for new Class A drivers. This program focuses on real-world experience with a mentor, providing a guaranteed pay path from the first week. The training lasts 4 to 6 weeks, during which drivers are paired with experienced trainers on actual regional routes. Upon completion, drivers will gain experience in hands-on Class A tractor-trailer operation, ELD systems and Hours-of-Service (HOS) compliance, proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs), and professional dispatch communication and company procedures. After training, drivers can expect consistent regional dry van freight, weekly home time, safe and modern equipment, and 24/7 professional dispatch and driver support.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 120+ hours completed from an accredited CDL school.
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer.
- Comply with ELD systems and Hours-of-Service (HOS) regulations.
- Perform proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs).
- Communicate professionally with dispatch.
- Adhere to company procedures.
- Drive regional routes with a mentor during the training period.
- Drive solo after completing the training program.
