Requirements

Age 21 or older
Valid CDL Class A license
Minimum 3 months of verifiable driving experience
Ability and willingness to assist with unloading trailers (driver assist)
Ability to pass pre-employment screening consistent with DOT and company requirements

Responsibilities

Operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on a dedicated, regional route serving Family Dollar locations
Deliver freight safely and on schedule while following DOT and company policies
Assist with unloading trailers at delivery locations (hands-on, driver assist required)
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Maintain accurate logs, trip records, and delivery documentation (electronic logging and paperwork as required)
Communicate proactively with dispatch and store personnel to ensure efficient deliveries and issue resolution
Practice safe driving techniques in varying weather, traffic, and road conditions
Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and uphold high standards of customer service at each stop
