About The Position

We are seeking a qualified and safety-focused CDL Class A Truck Driver / Material Handler to support logistics and field operations under a federal contract in the Washington, DC region. This role supports mission-critical programs involving the transportation, distribution, and handling of government supplies, equipment, and materials. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in operating 13-speed manual transmission commercial vehicles, as well as experience in warehouse and material handling operations in regulated environments.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A license
Demonstrated experience operating 13-speed manual transmission trucks
Minimum 3-5 years of commercial driving experience
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Ability to pass a federal background investigation
Experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse environments
Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Must be a U. S. Citizen
Must pass background investigation prior to hire
Must maintain valid CDL and medical certification throughout employment

Responsibilities

Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) with 13-speed manual transmission to transport materials, equipment, and supplies
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
Ensure all cargo is properly secured, protected, and documented in accordance with agency and DOT requirements
Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual methods, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or regulated materials
Maintain accurate records, and delivery documentation
Support agency warehouse and field operations, including staging, inventory tracking, and material distribution
Follow all agency site protocols, federal safety standards, and OSHA guidelines
Coordinate with federal personnel, supervisors, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Assist with general labor and mission support tasks as required
Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of vehicles and equipment
